Eighth Annual Sioux City Jewish Film Festival selection, "Hummus!"

The Eighth Annual Sioux City Jewish Film Festival will present “Hummus!” at 2 p.m. Sunday, August 27 at the Betty Strong Encounter Center. Admission is free.

This is an eclectic, touching film about hummus. It examines secret recipes, a Guinness World Record and the power of hummus to bring diverse people together.


The festival will also present the film, “In Search of Israeli Cuisine”
at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, August 24 at Congregation Beth Shalom, 815 38th St.
Admission is free.


This film profiles chefs, home cooks, vintners and cheese-makers drawn from the more than 100 cultures that make up Israel today: Jewish, Arab, Muslim, Christian, Druze.
