Lamb Caravan brings an original musical for adults and children\, “Ready\, Set\, Go” to the outdoor Spirit of Discovery Stage of the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center. The show will be held at 10:00am and at 6:00pm on Wednesday\, July 18\, 2025. \nAdmission is free but freewill donations encouraged. The audience will be positioned in a grassy area of Center’s campus\, so you are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets. In case of rain\, the show will be moved inside to the auditorium. \nLAMB Regional Arts Theatre has a rich history of producing theatre in Sioux City. The creative force behind LAMB is Executive Director and Director of Education\, Diana Wooley and Russ Wooley\, Artistic/Managing Director. LAMB is committed to arts education and involvement with the Siouxland community. The LAMB school provides a wide range of classes for various age groups. They are designed to ignite imagination and foster growth in every student.

DESCRIPTION:Have you ever seen a live owl or eagle up close? You may get a chance on Wednesday\, June 4\, 2025\, from 5:30pm-6:30pm\, the SOAR (Save Our Avian Resources) staff along with various birds (we don’t know which ones at this time) will present a 45-minute program. Admission is free. The event is appropriate for all ages. \nSOAR is an Iowa –based nonprofit that provides raptor rehabilitation\, education\, and research. SOAR’s goal is to return all birds to the wild. Unfortunately\, that is not always possible because of the severity of the illness or injury. These birds may become part of their “educational ambassador team”. The SOAR Ambassador Team includes species of owls\, hawks\, falcons\, plus bald eagles. Capturing the spectacle and the excitement\, along with the humorous things that happen in the course of a game was more important than focusing on the rules.

DESCRIPTION:Zoo critters are coming to the Sioux City Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center! On May 3\, 2025\, the Sioux Falls Zoomobile will lead a 45-minute sit-down program featuring live animals. This program will begin at 11:00am in the Betty Strong Encounter Center auditorium. Admission is free and the event is appropriate for all ages. \nAudience members will have the chance to meet a few charismatic animals under the supervision of Sioux Falls zookeepers. The program will focus on reptiles and invertebrates\, their characteristics and special creature features. They will discuss what their habitat is like and what it looks like to take care of each beautiful\, unique animal. \nDuring the Lewis and Clark Expedition\, the explorers were mesmerized by the diverse and colorful wildlife in the Louisiana Territory. DESCRIPTION:Have you noticed all the birds now that spring has arrived? Have you thought about what they eat and how to feed them? If you are interested in creating bird feeders for the local birds of Siouxland\, then join us on Wednesday\, April 23\, 2025\, from 5:30pm-6:30pm. Our Education Coordinator\, Ms. Elizabeth\, will guide participants in exploring the different native birds of Siouxland\, their characteristics\, and how the Siouxland community can help take care of them. The class is free; all ages are welcome. \nParticipants will use craft supplies to assemble a unique and beneficial bird feeder. This activity will involve peanut butter\, but we will also have Sun Nut Butter available to those with allergy restrictions. Participants will access their creativity in the design of the birdfeeder. Once they take it home\, they can experience the joy of observing and feeding our Siouxland avian friends. No matter their age\, anyone can do something that benefits wildlife.
