Larry Obermeyer has been awarded the 2026 Iowa Tourism Legacy Award.
Obermeyer has been a long-time supporter of the Missouri River Historical Development (MRHD) and the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center, built and maintained by MRHD, the major granting entity for the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center. He has volunteered his time with the MRHD Board since 2008. He has been with the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center Board since 2018 where he served various years as treasurer and secretary.
