K-3rd Grade: Preparing for Winter

No one who signed up for Lewis and Clark’s journey had ever experienced a Midwestern winter. The Native Americans helped the explorers prepare for winter and, in some cases, saved the explorers from perishing in the winter. We will learn how Lewis and Clark’s special relationships with the Native Americans saved them in the winter months.
