September 9, 2023 at 2:30 pm - 3:30 pm

Free

Siouxland is an extremely diverse community. In our Cultures of Siouxland class, students will learn to identify the elements of culture, the elements of their own culture, and the differences between their culture and other cultures in the Siouxland region. Together we will read a book about a young Hidatsa woman and the ways her culture influenced her daily life. We will discuss how different cultures impacted the Lewis and Clark Expedition and we will end class with a craft project which celebrates the diversity of culture in Siouxland.
