The Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center is pleased to announce it has recently been awarded a grant from the Siouxland Community Foundation Junior League/Mildred Andersen. The Junior League/Mildred Anderson grant of $1,500 will be used specifically to pay for guest speakers and classroom supplies for each Percy’s Pals class. Percy’s Pals is the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center’s new program for elementary school students. Percy is our pelican mascot. His statue sits on the south side of our property and is made of recycled scrap metal and was created by artist, Dale Lewis who also created the Scraposaurs that graced our lawn last year.
