At the Betty Strong Encounter Center on May 21, 2025, the kids WOW event will be a fabulous hands-on session where kids can learn about and play Native games. The event is free to all.
Traditional Native games had many purposes: bringing people together, stimulating social interaction, teaching skills, patience, and endurance, qualities important to being a good person.
Few of the games were meant to be played alone. Capturing the spectacle and the excitement, along with the humorous things that happen in the course of a game was more important than focusing on the rules.
