June 4 at 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm
Free
Have you ever seen a live owl or eagle up close? You may get a chance on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, from 5:30pm-6:30pm, the SOAR (Save Our Avian Resources) staff along with various birds (we don’t know which ones at this time) will present a 45-minute program. Admission is free. The event is appropriate for all ages.
SOAR is an Iowa –based nonprofit that provides raptor rehabilitation, education, and research. SOAR’s goal is to return all birds to the wild. Unfortunately, that is not always possible because of the severity of the illness or injury. These birds may become part of their “educational ambassador team”. The SOAR Ambassador Team includes species of owls, hawks, falcons, plus bald eagles. SOAR maintains all necessary US Fish & Wildlife Service and Iowa Department of Natural Resources permits for educational programming.
