Event Series: Becoming America!

July 4 at 10:00 am

Free

Have you heard the news? Our country is celebrating its Semi-quincentennial, which means it is 250 years old! Join us Wednesday, July 1, 2026, or July 4, 2026, at 10:00am at the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center. No admission charges, but freewill donations are encouraged.

You can participate in the fun by celebrating things that led to the Lewis and Clark Expedition. There will be bells to be rung, songs to be sung, flags to be hung, and ships to be…well you get the idea! Recommended for youth up to 8th grade; all kids are welcome.

For details on each class, visit https://siouxcitylcic.com/events-classes/ or contact Amy Linder, Director of Youth Programming at alinder@siouxcitylcic.com.

The Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center/Betty Strong Encounter Center was built and is sustained by the Missouri River Historic Development Organization as a gift of history to the community. For more information call 712-224-5242. Find the Center at www.siouxcitylcic.com or www.facebook.com/sclandc
