Event Series Event Series: Percy’s Pals

November 2, 2024 at 1:00 pm - 1:45 pm

Free

The Corps of Discovery built three temporary forts on their journey, but what did they use for day-to-day shelter? And what types of dwellings did they see in Native American villages? We will talk about how Lewis and Clark designed and built their forts; and how the Native American nations lived in their different homes (many nations had their own, distinct housing). We will build a fort together during the class, and will construct miniature Native American dwellings to take home!
