April 23 at 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm

Have you noticed all the birds now that spring has arrived? Have you thought about what they eat and how to feed them? If you are interested in creating bird feeders for the local birds of Siouxland, then join us on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, from 5:30pm-6:30pm. Our Education Coordinator, Ms. Elizabeth, will guide participants in exploring the different native birds of Siouxland, their characteristics, and how the Siouxland community can help take care of them. The class is free; all ages are welcome.
Participants will use craft supplies to assemble a unique and beneficial bird feeder. This activity will involve peanut butter, but we will also have Sun Nut Butter available to those with allergy restrictions. Participants will access their creativity in the design of the birdfeeder. Once they take it home, they can experience the joy of observing and feeding our Siouxland avian friends. No matter their age, anyone can do something that benefits wildlife. The sense of pride and stewardship to the community is also a great chance for participants to connect positively as participants while also contributing to a positive Siouxland atmosphere.
