K-3rd Grade: Preparing for Winter

Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center 900 Larsen Park Road, Sioux City, IA, United States

The Native Americans helped the explorers prepare for winter and, in some cases, saved the explorers from perishing in the winter. We will learn how Lewis and Clark’s special relationships with the Native Americans saved them in the winter months.
