The Center is pleased to welcome multi-talented singer, songwriter, and guitarist Greg Hager back to the Betty Strong Encounter Center stage for a second performance on August 27 at 2:00 p.m.
Hager specializes in a program that the music industry used to describe as “listening entertainment,” taking the listener on journeys through songs of life, love, cattle, country and faith. Stylistically, his music has a western country sound. Hager plays most stringed instruments, but focuses on the guitar and specifically, the 12-string guitar.
“I sing about my experiences, but since I’m human, there is an element of commonality that everyone identifies with,” says Hager. “I sometimes say that I am a story singer, and everyone loves a great story.”
Audiences can expect to enjoy a program that brings them into experiences that are common to everyone: Hager will offer western, cowboy and love songs, including a couple from his new album (his 10th) Country Gospel.
The program is free and a reception follows. The Center encourages everyone to bring the family down for this can’t-miss entertainment!
