The Center Continues Its Cultural Programming
On Sunday, Oct. 1, at 2:00, Center audiences will have an opportunity to experience the Andean cultures of Ecuador, Bolivia, Peru and Chile through an acoustic journey and storytelling.
One-day Adjusted Schedule
On Saturday, March 16, the Betty Strong Encounter Center side of our complex will be closed for a private event. The Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center side will be open to the public as usual from Noon–5:00pm.
World War II Flag Display
Presented to the Betty Strong Encounter Center on June 13, 2008, by shipmates of the USS LCS (L) (3) 92. The flag flew on their landing craft support vessel, known as a “Mighty Midget,” from 1944 to 1946. The gun boat provided anti-aircraft fire and cover for larger ships in the Pacific Theater.
