The Sioux City Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center (“the Center”) announces that it will host a new series of events beyond its normal operating hours over the coming weeks. The series is called “Tuesdays for You.”
On upcoming Tuesdays from 5:30 to 6:30, a representative of a business or other organization will be on site to visit with guests and highlight their products and services. On those evenings, the Center will remain open until 7:00 P.M.
“We hear often from guests who have lived in Sioux City all their lives that they’ve never been to the Center before, so we’re looking for ways to remove any obstacles,” says Assistant Director Theresa Jackson. “This evening series offers people who work until 5:00 a couple extra hours to enjoy our beautiful campus, meet some interesting people and perhaps learn something about a Siouxland organization’s goods and services.”
Planned guest appearances for the Tuesdays for You series include:
- July 11: Lea Knowles of Hidden Vineyards Wine
- July 18: Brenda Iwen of Noah’s Hope Animal Rescue
- July 25: Amber Hobbs: Growing Up Lulu
- August 1: Rich Pope presents Heritage of the Loess Hills
- August 8: Sue Owens presents Lifelong Learning
- August 22: Shawn Donnelly presents The History of Coffee
- September 5: Sarah Enright presents Sioux City’s Unsolved Crimes.
All the Center’s programming is provided free of charge to the public.
