Tours
Educating people about historical experiences, people, and cultures that they typically do not encounter is the mission of the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center. All tours and programming is offered at no charge and is available to all people.
Tours
The Center provides guided tours, but we also provide tours for any other interested groups in, or traveling through, the area. Please use our Tour Request Form to request a date and time for your tour group. We welcome self-guided tours as well, but ask that you please use the form to ensure we have the staff and resources available to accommodate you.
General Guidelines
Group Size: We recommend approximately 25-30 students per group. You should provide 2 chaperones for every 25-30 students.
Tour Timing: We offer two tour lengths: one hour for one class or 90 minutes for two classes in rotation. Due to staffing, there are days where only the one hour tours will be available.
Scheduling: Tours are available Tues 9:30am-2pm; Wed 11am-3pm; Thurs & Friday 9:30-3pm. Due to staffing these are the only times we can accomodate guided tours.
Your tour is considered booked once you receive a confirmation email from the Center. If your group arrives either early or late for your tour, the tour length will be adjusted so we can stay on schedule for other schools.
We are not affiliated with the Riverboat Museum. Please book your boat tour with them, directly. We do our best to work in conjunction with their scheduling.
Booking Calendar: TBD
Prerecorded tour available
The Center is capable of providing a recorded tour for use in the classroom upon request. Please call 712-224-5242 or email kbornholtz@siouxcitylcic.com.
