The Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center is introducing a new program series for Fall 2026. The first W-O-W What’s on Wednesday program is on October 7, 2026, focusing on National Crime and Intelligence Analyst Appreciation Day.
Join the exploration of the world of Crime Scene Investigation with crime scene technicians from the Sioux City police department. Learn how forensic scientists collect, analyze and interpret evidence from crime scenes. Crime scene analysis is the scientific examination of physical, biological, digital, and trace evidence to reconstruct events, identify suspects and support legal proceedings, using methods such as DNA profiling, bloodstain pattern analysis, ballistics, digital forensics, and trace evidence interpretation.
The W-O-W What’s on Wednesday programs are held the first Wednesday of each month over the lunch hour from 12:00-1:30pm in the Center’s multi-purpose room. You are welcome to bring your lunch!
Some of the W-O-W What’s on Wednesday programs will charge a small fee (the program description will have that information). An Association Membership discount will apply. Registration is a requirement for participation in most WOW programs. You can register by phone, in person, or by mail. When registering, please give your name, address, phone number, and email.
