Grandparents Caring for Grandchildren

Connections Area Agency on Aging invites Center audiences to a meeting where representatives will share information about resources available to seniors who are raising children.

The Grandparents Caring for Grandchildren Program helps grandparents or other relatives who are 55 years or older and are caring for a child 18 years or younger. Connections Area Agency on Aging provides information to grandparents about available services and helps them gain access to those services.

Services may include:

• individual counseling,
• support groups,
• assistance (including financial) in the areas of health, nutrition, financial literacy, and in making decisions and solving problems related to their role as a primary caregiver for a child.
