The Betty Strong Encounter Center will host a screening of “The Cross” a film based on the actual events of the Moreau family as they were driven out of Laurens, Iowa by the Ku Klux Klan in 1922. The film will be shown at 7:00 pm on Friday, November 2. Admission is free.

Dr. Michael White is the director and writer of the story. He teaches television and video production, electronic media, and other mass communication courses at Wayne State College. He advises KWSC-TV, the college’s cable television station, serving Wayne and streamed online. Dr. White also oversees the KWSC Productions (The Hot Attic), the student video and the short film production studio.
