The Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center Betty Strong Community Center is hosting Barbara Clifton Gross on October 21, 2026, at 6:00pm. She will be reading from her new novel Nine Lives of Pshrr. Local readers and literature enthusiasts are encouraged to attend. Admission is free, but freewill donations are encouraged.
Barbara Clifton Gross has worked as a radio disc jockey, a TV reporter and anchor, an advertising copywriter and brand manager, the owner/operator of a B&B on the California coast, a bookseller, a librarian, and a foster mom for rescue dogs.
Throughout her varied career, she has been writing fiction. Her short fiction and poetry have been published in The Briar Cliff Review and Big Muddy: A Journal of the Mississippi River Valley. Nine Lives of Pshrr is her second novel. Barbara lives near Sioux City, Iowa, with her husband, two dogs, one cat, sixteen hens, and four hives of honeybees.
