On Sunday, March 15, 2026, at 2:00pm in the Betty Strong Encounter Center, Bill Peterson and Friends will bring some Irish music for all to enjoy. Admission is free, but freewill donations encouraged.
Fiddler Bill Peterson and his friends John Everist, Josh Scott and Mike Pettman will present a concert of Irish traditional music. John is the guitarist in the band, Josh is a fiddler, and Mike plays accordion and concertina.
John and Bill played for several years in the Sioux Falls Ceili Band, the band played at McNally’s Irish Pub for 14 years and for many more years for Irish dancing at the Old Courthouse Museum in Sioux Falls. Josh and Mike currently play with the Rowena Ceil Band and have recently joined forces with Bill and John. John’s family is of Irish descent and were early arrivals in Sioux City and Jackson, Nebraska.
