On Sunday, February 1, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. the Betty Strong Encounter Center will host as the Iowa Arts Council and National Endowment for the Arts in cooperation with LAMB Arts Regional Theatre present “Poetry Out Loud National Recitation Contest.”
On Sunday, February 8, 2026, Bill Peterson and Friends will be playing fiddle tunes and talking about the traditions and culture from the Shetland Islands.

On Sunday, February 22, 2026, the Betty Strong Encounter Center welcomes a musical performance by Sioux City-born singer-songwriter Ralph Dittman.
On Sunday, March 1, 2026, at 2:00pm in the Betty Strong Encounter Center auditorium, Dr. Scott Culpepper will present a fascinating look at Legacies of Resistance and Resilience in Occupied France.
The Betty Strong Encounter Center is excited to display works by Sioux City Macro Photographer. The exhibit opens Tuesday, March 3, 2026, and runs through April 5, 2026. Admission is free, but free will donations encouraged.
On Sunday, March 8, 2026, at 2:00pm, the talented music duo Radio Rangers aside from playing favorites will debut their original song cycle about an Iowa legend, “Plow in the Oak.”
On Sunday, March 15, 2026, at 2:00pm in the Betty Strong Encounter Center, Bill Peterson and Friends will bring some Irish music for all to enjoy. Admission is free, but freewill donations encouraged.

On Sunday, March 29, 2026, at 2:00pm the Betty Strong Encounter Center welcomes back the Floyd Valley Brass Quintet who will present “Splendor in the Brass.” The group is excited to play here again and their show will include a variety of entertaining music.
On Sunday, April 12, 2026, at 2:00pm in the Betty Strong Encounter Center auditorium, Gary Zalud and Dan Holtz will present Heroism on the Plains: Story Songs of Courage and Determination. Admission is free, but freewill donations encouraged.
