IT’S TIME! Our first annual Flea Market is happening! Come find that treasure you have been looking for. The event happens May 30, 2026, at 9:00am-3:00pm in the parking lot of the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center, 900 Larsen Park Road, Sioux City IA.
On Sunday, May 31, 2026, at 2:00 p.m., Kevin and Joanne Keane perform at the Betty Strong Encounter Center. Admission is free; freewill donations are encouraged.
On Sunday, June 7, 2026, at 2:00pm in the Betty Strong Auditorium, Helen Lewis will share a fascinating exploration into “At Heart…A Westerner: Theodore Roosevelt’s Formation in the West.”
On Saturday, June 13, 2026, at 7:00pm on our outdoor stage we welcome the exceptionally talented Walker Mathison & the Ranahan Band. Admission is free, but free will donations are encouraged.
On Sunday June 14, 2026, at 2:00pm Byron Kuehl, one of Sioux City’s most sought after solo acoustic acts, will perform at the Betty Strong Encounter Center.
On June 21, 2026, at 2:00pm in the Betty Strong Encounter Center Auditorium, the New Horizons Band of Sioux City under the direction of Benjamin Mauritz will present an amazing concert.
On Sunday, June 28, 2026, at 2:00pm, in the Betty Strong Auditorium, historian/educator/lecturer Chad Timm will share the captivating history of “Working with the Enemy: German, Italian and Japanese Prisoners of War in Iowa during the Second World War.”
On July 5, 2026, in the Betty Strong Encounter Center auditorium, retired history professor and award winning author Don Hickey will deliver an illustrated lecture on Buffalo Bill and His Wild West Show. Admission is free, but freewill donations are encouraged.
On Sunday, July 12, 2026, at 2:00pm in the Betty Strong Encounter Center, the “Then & Now” duo comprised of singer-guitarist Barbara Sabella and fiddler-violinist Beth Preheim will bring new life to oldies. Admission is free, but freewill donations are encouraged.
