On Sunday September 13, 2026, at 2:00pm Byron Kuehl, one of Sioux City’s most sought after solo acoustic acts, will perform at the Betty Strong Encounter Center. Admission is free, but freewill donations encouraged.

On Sunday, September 20, 2026, at 2:00pm in the Betty Strong Encounter Center auditorium, author and historian Scott Culpepper will lead a guided tour of Mary Queen of Scots’ (1542-1587) remarkable life and times in this interactive presentation. On Sunday, September 27, 2026, at 2:00pm, the Betty Strong Encounter Center will host talented singer Amy Ellsworth. Admission is free, but freewill donations encouraged.

On Sunday, October 4, 2026, at 2:00 pm, at the Betty Strong Encounter Center, get ready for some foot stompin’, handclapin’ music as Crabgrass performs Traditional, Bluegrass, and Country Music.  Admission is free, but freewill donations are encouraged.

On October 11, 2026, at 2:00pm at the Betty Strong Encounter Center, Don Hickey, a retired history professor and award-winning author, will present an illustrated program on "The Trial of Standing Bear, 1879."  Admission is free, but freewill donations are encouraged.

On October 18, 2026, at 2:00pm the Betty Strong Encounter Center welcomes talented guitar player/singer Mark Buckingham. Admission is free, but freewill donations are encouraged.
